A leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy with offices in London, Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham and other key UK Cities, are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Birmingham team
Providing a full suite of services this is an opportunity to join a business who has a respected name within the industry.
You’ll be involved in a wide range of projects across sectors particularly residential, PBSA and Healthcare.
The role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Leading client engagement, presenting schemes and managing project timelines.
- Appointing and overseeing the performance of the professional team.
- Preparing feasibility reports, contract documents and budget estimates.
- Managing schemes, tendering procedures and contract arrangements.
- Advising clients on market conditions and procurement strategies.
- Preparing interim payment recommendations, final accounts and variation adjustments.
- Participating in project meetings and driving successful delivery.
Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Extensive consultancy experience in the UK
- Experience pre and post contract, cost planning at all RIBA stages.
- Strong understanding of JCT contracts (NEC or other forms beneficial).
- Proven experience across the full project lifecycle, both pre- and post-contract.
- Ideally chartered (e.g. MRICS) or working towards chartership.
- Relevant academic qualifications (e.g. BSc in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or Project Management).
- Excellent client-facing skills and a collaborative approach.
- 5 years+ industry experience.
- Strong cost planning and procurement expertise.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and act as Employer’s Agent.

- Up to £75,000 per annum
